The Buffalo Bills suffered a devastating blow last Thursday night after star pass rusher Von Miller exited the game with a leg injury.

The optics of the situation appeared that it could have been a season-ending injury. However, the Bills dodged the worse outcome with MRI revealing that he didn’t tear his ACL.

Miller will likely miss a few games as he recovers from the injury, which keeps the Bills with him in the fold for the rest of the season once he returns.

“If he misses a couple games or whatever, or if he’s playing next week, I just hope he’s still around,” defensive tackle Ed Oliver said after Thursday’s game via ESPN. “I hope his presence, I hope he’s still leading us from the sidelines. You got a guy like that — it don’t matter whether he playing, watching or coaching, it don’t matter — just having his presence, having his positive energy, the way he carry himself, like the messages that he portray to us. And just having a guy like that around is infectious.”

Miller has been a huge factor in his first season with the Bills, posting eight sacks and a forced fumble in 11 games. His presence has helped give Buffalo one of the most formidable defensive fronts.

The Bills will likely proceed in a precautionary manner due to the sensitivity of the injury and the significant role he will play in their Super Bowl push. Miller is in the first year of his six-year, $120 million deal.
