Recycling items in ARC Raiders is one of the best ways to get the upgrade materials you need to keep progression moving forward. Here’s how it works.
There are hundreds of things to collect in ARC Raiders, and you can break them down into hundreds more. Knowing how to recycle items in a raid or at Speranza can open up valuable inventory space and yield valuable crafting materials you can use to upgrade your gear.
How to recycle items in ARC Raiders

Recycling is a quick and simple task in ARC Raiders. Open your inventory while at Speranza or while you’re in a raid and select an item. Press right mouse on keyboard or Triangle/Y on PS5 or Xbox to open the item dropdown menu, then select “Recycle” at the bottom.
Note that recycling is called “Salvage” while you’re in a raid.
From there, you’ll be able to see what the item will break down into and can choose whether to proceed with the dismantle or not. A recycled item is lost forever, and you’ll be left only with the parts it showed on the recycle screen.
Be sure to check the item description before recycling, as it will tell you if the item has any other uses. If an item is labeled “Recyclable,” its primary purpose is to be recycled. And while you can recycle or salvage upgrade and crafting materials, you’ll want to go back to Speranza with them first.
A lot of items you find, even ones labeled Recyclable, might be used to upgrade a station in your workshop or are valuable enough to sell for Coin. Don’t go recycling everything you find the instant you find it, but if you know you need the items something recycles into, by all means, go nuts.
