Ulta Beauty named Christopher DelOrefice as its new chief financial officer on Thursday.
âChris brings deep financial expertise and a proven track record of delivering leading financial performance,â chief executive Kecia Steelman said in an accompanying release. An Ulta newcomer, DelOrefice joins from medical technology firm Becton Dickinson & Company, where he was executive vice president and CFO, and Johnson & Johnson. He succeeds Chris Lialios, who will transition back to his role as Ulta Beautyâs senior vice president.
DelOrefice is the latest in a slew of new appointments for Ulta. In the last year, the retailer has announced a new CMO and chief merchandising and digital officer, as well the appointment of Steelman to succeed long-time CEO Dave Kimbell.
In addition to a C-suite revamp, the retailer announced âUlta Beauty Unleashedâ earlier this year and has seen 24 new brands introduced to stores. UB Marketplace, an Amazon-style e-commerce marketplace, launched earlier this week.
In August, the retailer reported that second-quarter sales had risen 6.7 percent percent, beating expectations.
