UFC Vegas 112 will be the last event of 2025, as the APEX prepares for one final fight night.
The headliner features a high-stakes flyweight matchup between Brandon Royval and Manel Kape.
This particular bout has been cancelled twice as MMA fans hope a third time will be a charm.
However, there is a heavily intriguing Welterweight battle which has recently been announced, featuring a UFC record holder against a former Bellator Champion.
Amosov makes UFC debut
The Ukrainian’s 30th professional MMA bout will be the most important fight of his career as Yaroslav Amosov takes on Neil Magny.
The 32-year-old is well-known for his five-year stint in Bellator, during which he captured the 170lbs championship.
The Irpin-born fighter’s title wins came against Douglas Lima and interim champion Logan Storley, both of whom went the distance.
These two fighters were the only ones to defeat Michael ‘Venom’ Page in Bellator.
Amosov lost his welterweight title to Jason Jackson at Bellator 301 in November, the only loss of his MMA career.
‘Dynamo’ earned his way to a UFC contract after submitting Curtis Millender in the first round with an Anaconda Choke at CFFC 140.
The 29-fight warrior holds nine of his triumphs by KO/TKO and 11 by submission, making him a well-rounded competitor.
A victory for Amosov on his UFC debut could be highly beneficial, depending on how big of a statement he makes at the APEX.
Familiar position for the biggest 170lbs veteran
Magny is without a doubt the most experienced welterweight in UFC history, holding records for the most fights, wins, decision wins and fight time in the division.
In 2024, ‘The Haitian Sensation’ faced three 170lbs prospects, all of whom ended with a stoppage.
The 38-year-old derailed the hype train of Canadian fighter Mike Malott, earning a TKO comeback win in the third round at UFC 297.
The Brooklyn-born mixed martial artist also faced Carlos Prates and Michael Morales, losing both of those by first-round knockout.
This year, Magny has been on a roll as he earned back-to-back wins for the first time since March 2022.
The former welterweight contender stopped Eilzeu Zaleski dos Santos by second-round TKO at UFC Vegas 108, before submitting Jake Matthews in round three at UFC Perth.
Compared to Amosov, the American prefers to go by the judges’ scorecards as he has only secured 14 finishes from 31 victories.
Magny once again has an opportunity to take out a promising prospect in the welterweight division and extend his list of UFC records.
