Where to get free fries on National French Fry Day 2023

McDonald’s is leading the pack of fast food brands recognizing National French Fry Day on Thursday, July 13, with a free offer that can’t be beat.

To commemorate the promotional holiday, the golden arches will dole out heaps of its signature deep-fried potato sticks at no charge.

Customers throughout the U.S. can get a free order of French fries in any size for one day only by logging into the McDonald’s app. There is no purchase necessary to partake in the deal at participating locations. The free offer is limited to one per customer.

Wendy’s

Although it’s more widely known for its square-shaped burgers, Wendy’s is also getting in on the action with a free French fry deal — but theirs will run throughout the weekend (with a few caveats).

Customers at the chain can get free fresh-cut fries of any size with any in-app purchase from July 13 through July 16 at participating locations. Even the company’s “breakfast fries” (seasoned potatoes) can be used for the deal too.

The offers must be redeemed through the Wendy’s app or website, where account registration is required. To redeem the one-time-only deal, customers can apply the offer to their mobile order or scan in-restaurant or at the drive-thru. The deal is not applicable for delivery orders placed outside of the app or the website.

White Castle

The mini-burger chain that stays open late will celebrate its own way with a digital coupon that customers can use on July 13 for a BOGO deal at participating locations.

The buy-one-get-one-free small fries coupon (which can be downloaded here) is only valid on Thursday and can’t be combined with any other offer. It’s also not valid on delivery orders. Only one coupon can be used by one customer per visit.

Smashburger

The chain known for offering a more elevated sandwich experience will also offer free fries with any purchase. But unlike so many others, Smashburger has a choice of Smashfries, French Fries or Sweet Potato Fries.

The offer requires no minimum purchase. The deal can be redeemed in-store or through Smashburger’s website or app by using the code: FRIES.
