Two MTA workers were punched during an argument with a rider inside the Times Square subway station early Sunday, police sources said.
A 33-year-old worker got into a quarrel with the attacker about 1:45 a.m., the sources said.
The attacker punched her in the face, then struck her 47-year-old coworker when he intervened, sources said.
Both the male victim and the assailant were hospitalized after the assault, cops said. Charges against the 35-year-old suspect were pending.
