Double spooky games today, provided we can make it to the end of Caput Mortum
Spooky season continues and so do the scares here on Variety Hours @ Shacknews. Today’s livestream sees me slink back into the creepy halls of Caput Mortum and then, if there’s time, No, I’m not a Human. Come and keep me safe from the scares!
Today’s episode of Variety Hours @ Shacknews is scheduled to begin at 3:00 p.m. PT / 6:00 p.m. ET on October 17, 2025 over on the Shacknews Twitch channel. This special double feature will go for about two hours. The goal is to finish Caput Mortum and then move on to No, I’m not a Human. Two spooky games in one stream!
On our last episode of VHS, I ventured pretty far into Caput Mortum. This game is incredibly unique in that you use the triggers on a controller to turn your camera and the bumpers to aim up and down. Movement is still tied to the left thumbstick, but this aiming setup makes you feel quite vulnerable. Based on the pacing, and the big reveal we saw, I’d say we’re pretty close to the end.
In the event we do finish the game today, we’ll all shift over to the next game: No, I’m not a Human. The only thing I know about this one is based on Lucas White’s preview. I instantly added it to my wishlist for a rainy day. And here we are.
