Celebrate Metroid Prime 4’s launch with The Stevetendo Show!

Direct. The day has finally arrived when the game can actually be released to Nintendo fans. By the looks of early reviews, the game is very good and sets the bar on what games on the Nintendo Switch 2 should look like. As one of, if not the biggest, Nintendo fan at Shacknews, it felt right that I should try and put the game through its paces.

I know The Stevetendo Show has been on a December recess as of late, but you never know when another Metroid game will launch, so we had to put a special episode together. Will Metroid Prime 4: Beyond be another amazing Metroid game, or will it be compared to the weaker games in the series? Set to go live at 4 p.m. PDT/7 p.m. EDT, join The Stevetendo Show to kick off the Metroid Prime 4: Beyond launch season!

Shackers who want to join in on the fun can head over to the Shacknews Twitch channel, where you can tune into The Stevetendo Show every Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday.

The schedule for The Stevetendo Show is a little “all over the place” this month. We’re in the middle of our Shacknews Game of the Year deliberations, and those can take up a lot of time. The games you love watching me play, like Pokemon Legends Z-A and Super Mario Galaxy 2, will return in 2026. We’ll also have brand new playthroughs starting up soon, so there’s more to look forward to.

Be sure to check out the Shacknews Twitch channel and the Shacknews VODs YouTube channel. Catch up on some of your favorite Shacknews programs with a subscription to the YouTube channel and a follow to the Twitch channel. If you aren’t aware, Shacknews has a new service for you called Shackmaps. The lovely Shacknews staff has gone through some of your favorite video games to keep you from getting lost.

Seeing as though this could be the last Stevetendo Show of the year, I want to say thank you to all the viewers of the show. The show wouldn’t be where it is today without your support. I’d also like to say Merry Christmas and Happy New Year, too. If one of your resolutions is to watch more Stevetendo Show, get a jump start and watch this evening!

Keep coming up with new games that you’d love to see on The Stevetendo Show. If it’s on The Nintendo Switch 2 or Nintendo Switch 2 Online service, it could see a starring role in an upcoming Stevetendo episode. You never know when Nintendo is going to add something to the Nintendo Switch 2 Online service, so stay tuned. Maybe in 2026, we’ll finally get Rad Racer on the online service!
