Taking even a little fall damage can be a death sentence in ARC Raiders. Here’s how to take less of it.
You can fall a long way without dying in ARC Raiders, but longer falls still deal damage. Thankfully, there are several ways to mitigate how much fall damage you take from a drop that wouldn’t otherwise kill you outright. We’ve listed them here.
How to take less fall damage in ARC Raiders

The best and most consistent way to take less fall damage in ARC Raiders is to roll right as you hit the ground. You need the press the dodge roll button no more than about a half-second before you land.
Do it successfully, and your character will dodge roll as they hit the ground, negating or at least significantly reducing how much fall damage you take. Note that it doesn’t work as well when you reach the limits of non-lethal falls and is much harder to pull off when you’re over-encumbered. Ask me how I know.

Another way to reduce fall damage is to put points into the Sturdy Ankles Mobility Skill. Every one of its five levels increases your resistance to fall damage, so long as the fall wouldn’t just kill you on impact.

The Ready to Roll Skill, also in the Mobility tree, widens the window where you can successfully roll to negate fall damage. You’ll likely still want to not be over-encumbered, and I would bet the window is still fairly tight, even at five stacks of the skill. Still, if you intend to do a lot of cool-looking parkour, it’s worth investing the points.
You should focus on not taking fall damage in the first place, but if you’re trying to make a hasty getaway, sometimes a long drop is the best and fastest way out of danger. Keep your wits about you, even when under threat, and you should be able to roll as you hit the ground with ease.
