The Mini Scout is a snazzy new sniper rifle that came with Season 1 of Battlefield 6. Here’s how to get it.
Battlefield 6 Season 1 brought with it tons of new content, from REDSEC battle royale to new maps, skins, and weapons. One of the new weapons, the Mini Scout, is a fast-firing, 5.56 calibre sniper rifle that’s great for closer-quarters engagements, and getting it is pretty easy. Here’s how.
How to unlock the Mini Scout Sniper Rifle in Battlefield 6

As a weapon unique to Season 1 of Battlefield 6, to unlock the Mini Scout, you need to rank up your battle pass. Specifically, you need to reach rank 21 in the Soldiers of Fortune track. Do that, and you can claim the Mini Scout, then start using it immediately.
Be sure you have Soldier of Fortune as your chosen track, then all you need to do is grind out the Season Pass points to reach rank 21. And while you can certainly pay real money to purchase the pass tiers you need, there are enough sources of pass progression that it’s hardly necessary.
The best way to level up your BF6 season pass quickly is to complete Weekly Challenges. Especially as the season continues, you’ll rack up a hefty collection of challenges if you don’t complete them every week.
In week six, for example, there’s a bonus challenge that awards 21 points just for earning 10,000 points in any mode. That doesn’t count the dozens of additional pass points you get for doing other simple tasks in a match.
The odds are good that, if you play even a couple hours a night — or even every other night — and you focus on completing challenges while you play, you can unlock the Mini Scout in a week or two.
If you’re a more hardcore player, and especially if you can consistently top the leaderboards or win REDSEC matches, you could easily cut that time in half or more. I don’t suggest waiting until near the end of the season unless you’re the kind of player who really enjoys the last-minute grind and allots the time for it.
The Mini Scout will hopefully have an alternate unlock condition once Season 2 begins, probably something to do with getting a lot of kills in very specific ways. Until then, happy grinding!
