Sister Wives Fans Call Out David’s Daughter For “Weird” Wedding Toast

Sister Wives fans are confused after hearing David Woolley’s daughter Kati Charlene’s version of the story about how he met Christine Brown. David is a father of eight kids. David’s late wife Margaret died by suicide in 2012. Christine was spiritually married to Kody Brown for 25 years before she split with him in November 2021. Christine made her relationship with David public on Valentine’s Day in February 2023 by posting about each other on Instagram. David asked Christine to marry him in April 2023 during a weekend getaway in Utah. David and Christien married in October 2023 and their wedding was featured on a TLC special.

Sister Wives fans recently watched Christine & David’s Wedding Special Part 2, where Redditor u/NotLaughingNow19 noticed something “odd” about “David’s Daughter’s Toast.”

They asked fellow fans, “Did anyone else think the story David’s daughter told was really strange?” Kati, David’s eldest daughter said that she “manifested” David and Christine getting married. She started her speech by saying she was the one who “actually” brought David and Christine together. Kati said that she ran into her husband’s office when she heard Christine was single. When her husband asked who was single, Kati, who was panicking, told him, “She’s single” and thought “she would be so good” with her dad.

During his confessional, David revealed that he’d told Kati about Christine messaging her and Kati was excited “more than anybody was.” David said that Kati made him believe he “could do it.” David told Christine he’d created his own dating profile and picked the pictures himself. “You did good boy, you had a great profile,” Christine complimented her husband. The Reddit user asked other viewers, “She targeted Christine and had her dad set up a profile after finding out Christine was single? But then David said or implied this was after Christine had messaged him, but it didn’t seem like it when she was telling the story originally.”

To the fan, Kati’s speech made it seem like she told David to create a profile to “bait Christine.” As another Redditor ohnyhellions pointed out, Kati’s version of events doesn’t square up with the story David and Christine have been pushing. According to Kati, David already knew that Christine was single and was told to date her, but as per David, it was Christine who messaged him first. “But how is that possible when he also says Kati pushed him to make a profile only after Christine messaged him? This whole thing makes no sense,” they added. Christine had revealed that she connected with David through the dating app Stir.

Christine says that she was the one who made the first move and had messaged him first. David had told her he liked camping and Christine had thrown her phone across the bed thinking that was a dealbreaker. However, Christine acted as an adult and continued the conversation, leading to their first in-person date. David likely made his profile after Kati told him about Christine being single but didn’t pay much attention to it until Christine messaged him. Kati might have made David reply to Christine after discovering the Sister Wives star had messaged him. Regardless of how they met, Christine knows that David is her “soulmate.”
