When former MAFS star Cortney spoke to The List about why they divorced, she said, “It just really came down to, the things I wanted in life no longer matched up with things he wanted in life.” Although she said that love was never an issue for them, she admitted that her life plan simply did not align with his. Cortney also spoke up about how difficult life as a first responder’s wife was: “some days I was okay with it, a lot of days I wasn’t. And you have to be okay with it. There is no if, ands, or buts.” The couple divorced in 2019.
While they divorced, like other MAFS franchise couples, good news was on the horizon, as both eventually married other people. Jason wed his British girlfriend Roxanne Pallett, who appeared on Celebrity Big Brother UK. While fans don’t know much about the pair, they seem to share a love of the film Rocky, as their proposal was inspired by a proposal scene from the movie. The couple married two months after getting engaged. They wed in January 2020, and since then, both have chosen to leave social media behind.
Cortney from Married at First Sight also remarried a man named Sherm, and shared their wedding photos on her Instagram. Her beau went through a difficult divorce before finding Cortney. They held their nuptials in their North Carolina home in October 2020. Due to the pandemic, they had a small wedding with only 30 guests, and followed Covid-19 regulations. After Cortney from MAFS shared her enthusiasm about starting a family with her husband, the two welcomed a son in October 2021.
