Employees of The Kelly Clarkson Show are speaking out about the toxic work environment behind the scenes.
Kelly Clarkson has been hosting the show since 2019 and the show has earned thirteen Daytime Emmy Awards.
But executive producer and showrunner Alex Duda has created such negative work environment through bullying and verbal abuse that employees have suffered physical sickness and their mental health has greatly suffered, according to a new bombshell report.

While Kelly Clarkson has been respectful to everyone she works with, she has been shielded from how employees have been treated by several producers.
“Kelly is fantastic. She is a person who never treats anyone with anything but dignity and is incredibly appreciative,” one former employee said. “I would be shocked if she knew. I’d be floored if she knew the staff wasn’t getting paid for two weeks of Christmas hiatus. The Kelly that I interacted with and that everyone knows would probably be pretty aghast to learn that.”
The work environment starts at the top, and while nobody seems to blame Kelly Clarkson, employees say Alex Duda already had a reputation preceding her that she brought to the show.
“I think Alex Duda’s a monster,” a former employee said. “I have a friend who’s an executive producer who warned me about taking this job because apparently she has done this on every show she’s worked on.”
Employees say HR has been largely unresponsive to complaints about the producers’ behavior.
“I was trying to find a new job after already experiencing the toxicity of daytime and it had the potential to be a fresh new start, but Alex [Duda] and the people who are loyal to her haven’t broken that cycle. You can’t be a leader if you’re going to let all of this bad stuff continue to happen and promote a bad culture,” the employee says. “All these daytime shows are supposed to make you feel good and be happy. Kelly [Clarkson] uses a sign-off, ‘Make it a great day and if it’s not great, change it,’ but it’s hard to exist and work in a machine that’s pumping out this happy, bubbly, positive messaging and then you have people here who are just treated badly.”
Kelly recently teared up while on The Kelly Clarkson Show about how her daughter has been bullied for being dyslexic.
