This year, National Teacher Appreciation Week 2023 is happening now through Friday, May 12. National Teacher Appreciation Day was held on Tuesday, May 2nd.
So what’s up with Teacher Appreciation Day falling outside of Teacher Appreciation Week? Every year, National Teacher Appreciation Week is celebrated the first full week of May. This year, May started on a Monday, So the first full week didn’t begin until Sunday, May 7th. This means that Teacher Appreciation Week will begin on Monday, May 8th.
National Teacher Appreciation DAY is held on the first Tuesday in May, which was May 2nd. Normally this occurs during National Teacher Appreciation Week, but not this year!
While there will still be plenty of restaurants and retailers offering Teacher Appreciation deals, the timing may be a bit tricky this year. Some merchants observed Teacher Appreciation Day on May 2nd, while others may offer week-long promotions starting May 8th.
