Dr. Idriss, the clinical skincare brand founded by dermatologist Dr. Shereene Idriss, has named Tamera Ferro as its first chief marketing officer.
Ferra’s immediate priority will be sharpening the brand’s identity by implementing consistent messaging across marketing and Idriss’ own social media content, where the dermatologist reaches over four million followers.
Ferro joins Dr. Idriss from Sol de Janeiro, where she served as CMO and helped scale the brand globally before and after its 2021 acquisition by L’Occitane.
“Dr. Idriss has made clinical skincare really human. And that’s the future for me,” Ferro told The Business of Beauty.
Founded in 2022, Dr. Idriss is known for clinically-backed skincare offerings such as the Major Fade acne scar system and Depuffer roll-on serum. In June 2025 the brand launched Disco Block, its first SPF.
Idriss said that the brand had decided to expand its C-suite following a period of growth. Brand president Ariel Gold added that the brand is doubling-down on its relationship with Sephora, where it launched in March 2024, by expanding its shelf space across US and Canadian locations in early 2026. Though it launched in the UK in Sept. 2024, Gold added that North America remains the brand’s main focus.
Idriss added, “Our goal is really to be the number one clinical skincare brand.”
