Beyoncé, Nicole Kidman and Venus Williams to Co-Chair 2026 Met Gala

The Metropolitan Museum of Art on Wednesday announced that Beyoncé, Nicole Kidman and Venus Williams will co-chair the 2026 Met Gala alongside Vogue global editorial director Anna Wintour.

The event will notably mark Beyoncé’s first appearance at the fundraiser in a decade. She last served as an honourary chair in 2013.

The upcoming exhibit’s theme, titled Costume Art, will highlight the relationship between clothing and the body and will juxtapose archival fashion with Western art that depicts the human form.

The Met museum also announced a gala host committee that will be co-chaired by Zoë Kravitz and Saint Laurent’s creative director, Anthony Vaccarello — the brand is a sponsor for the 2026 exhibit. The committee will include members such as musicians Sabrina Carpenter, Doja Cat and Teyana Taylor, as well as models Alex Consani and Paloma Elsesser. Amazon founder Jeff Bezos and wife Lauren Sanchez Bezos are also sponsors.

The 2026 Met Gala will be Wintour’s first since stepping back as American Vogue’s editor-in-chief in June. She retains her positions as the company’s global editorial director and Conde Nast’s chief content officer, and continues to supervise the Met Gala.
