BACK in May, Chantelle Cameron travelled to Ireland as the supporting act to Irish golden girl Katie Taylor.
Their fight at Dublin’s 3Arena was a homecoming for Taylor with Cameron’s four super-lightweight belts on the line as well. The script had been written but Cameron performed a late rewrite and ruined the happy ending for Taylor.
Cameron not only retained her titles against Taylor, who had moved up from lightweight (where she holds all four belts), but won with something to spare. Even so, immediately after the scorecards had been announced Taylor declared her intention to invoke the rematch clause and therefore this Saturday, back at the 3Arena, Cameron and Taylor will do it all over again.
