The Baltimore Ravens are set to have star quarterback Lamar Jackson back for Week 9 action on Thursday night against the Miami Dolphins after missing the last three games due to a hamstring injury.
Jackson was a full participant in Monday’s team walkthrough, which had head coach John Harbaugh confident about the two-time MVP’s return.
“It was a great walkthrough for him,” Harbaugh said via ESPN. “He looked great.”
In his absence, the Ravens had a 1-2 record, grabbing their first win on Sunday after topping the Chicago Bears 30-16.
Baltimore has proven to be a starkly different team with Jackson, holding a 74-32 record, while going 5-12 without him.
When healthy, he’s proven to be one of the league’s top quarterbacks behind his dual-threat ability as a passer and runner. Before the injury, he was putting forth a strong start to the season behind a league-best 130.5 passer rating with 10 touchdown passes to one interception in four games.
His return provides the Ravens’ offense with a much-needed boost that should help elevate the running game. Star running back Derrick Henry should be the biggest beneficiary as he’s 12th in the league with 510 rushing yards and tied for fifth with six touchdowns.

Henry has failed to rush for 100 yards in five out of the first seven games, including posting 50 or fewer rushing yards four times. Jackson’s presence should see Henry recapture his form as one of the game’s top running backs.
The Ravens currently sit in third place in the AFC North with a 2-5 record.
