After a three-game absence, two-time league MVP Lamar Jackson led the Baltimore Ravens to a lopsided win over the Miami Dolphins on Thursday night.
Jackson excelled in his return, throwing for four touchdown passes while completing 18-of-23 passes for 204 yards. He showed some rust early in the game, but found his rhythm, leading the Ravens to a commanding and much-needed win.
For Jackson, it was a performance that he soaked in after missing nearly a month due to a hamstring injury.
“It’s awesome,” Jackson said via ESPN. “I just wanted to get out there with my guys … it was just great to be back and get a W.”
Jackson’s return also proved to be extremely beneficial for star running back Derrick Henry, who posted 119 rushing yards on 19 carries.
Henry became the eighth player in NFL history to record at least 12,000 career rushing yards and 100 career rushing touchdowns.
Before Thursday’s game, Henry failed to rush for 100 yards in five out of the first seven games, including posting 50 or fewer rushing yards four times.
As Jackson pointed out, the Ravens grabbed a huge victory that improves their chances at a legitimate playoff push. Baltimore is now riding a two-game win streak, sitting just two games behind the Pittsburgh Steelers in the loss column.

The Ravens have a favorable schedule ahead with their next four opponents facing the Minnesota Vikings, Cleveland Browns, New York Jets, and Cincinnati Bengals, which combined hold a 9-22 record.
It could see Jackson and Baltimore push their way back into contention for the AFC North division title.
