A 50-year-old woman was shot and wounded across the street from a Brooklyn playground Sunday afternoon, police said.
The woman was on Dumont Ave. near Mother Gaston Blvd. in Brownsville when shots rang out around 2:30 p.m. near the playground at the sprawling Van Dyke public housing complex, they added.
The victim was shot in the back and at least one shooter took off, cops said.
Medics took her to Brookdale University Hospital where she is expected to survive.
