Off-duty FDNY firefighter arrested for attacking girlfriend with baseball bat

An off-duty FDNY firefighter was arrested early Wednesday for attacking his girlfriend with a baseball bat, police said.

Firefighter Wayne Ko, 39, is facing assault charges for the Tuesday night attack at his girlfriend’s Brooklyn home, cops said.

The 35-year-old victim said the two were arguing when Ko struck her with a baseball bat in the arm and left side of the face, according to officials.

When she reported the assault to police, her face was bruised but she declined medical attention,

Cops arrested Ko at 3:15 a.m. Wednesday near Union Ave. and South 5th St. in Williamsburg.

Ko was taken into custody a few feet from Engine Company 216’s firehouse, but it was not immediately disclosed if he works there.

His arraignment in Brooklyn Criminal Court was pending Wednesday.
