A citrus juicer was one of those gadgets I just couldn’t bring myself to buy for the longest time. It’s not that it’s so pricey, but I didn’t think I needed one. I could just squeeze the lemon juice and catch the seeds in my fingers, right?
Except that I rarely caught all the seeds that way, and then I’d end up with stinging lemon juice all over my hands. So, suffice it to say, I’m now the proud owner of a top-notch citrus squeezer, and I’m seriously wondering why I didn’t buy one sooner.

This citrus squeezer has a pretty classic design, allowing you to add half a lemon (or any small citrus fruit) to the bottom part and push down with the top to squeeze out the juice. It’s made from die-cast aluminum, so it’s nice and durable. Plus, it has non-slip handles for sturdy, stable grip.
It’s popular among Amazon shoppers, with more than 1,000 purchased in just the past month. Not to mention it has more than 3,500 five-star ratings. And it’s just $22 on Amazon.
My Honest Review of OXO’s Good Grips Citrus Squeezer
As someone who was convinced I didn’t need a citrus squeezer, I’m shocked at how much play it’s gotten in my kitchen. Not only does it keep me from having to dig seeds out of my salad dressings, pastas, and cake batters, it also helps me maximize how much juice I’m getting out of my lemons.
It also doesn’t take a ton of effort to push down on the squeezer, which I really appreciate. And the non-slip handles make it really easy to keep a steady grip on it — even when I’m working with a very juicy lemon.
I’ve only used my citrus squeezer with lemons so far, but I know it will come in handy when I go to make Key Lime Tiramisu over the summer or this Tangerine Curd while they’re in season this winter.
