The Only Pumpkin Spiced Snacks at Trader Joe’s That I Endorse

Spooky Bats & Cats Gummy Candies
Like all Trader Joe’s gummies, they’re not that sour and veering into soft, but I still love them.

Frozen Snacks

Mini Chicken Tacos
These are a letdown. The fun, handheld size of the mini tacos doesn’t make up for the sad smear of pale, under-seasoned chicken paste in each barely overlapping corn tortilla. TJ taquitos are better all around, and you get more filling and crispier exteriors.

Gluten-Free Breaded Shrimp
Tapioca starch is doing the heavy lifting here, and it works. I air-fried these in six minutes and had crispy shrimp on my lunch salad, a little treat. They’re also great dipped in TJ’s new-ish Thai Sweet Ginger Sauce.

A Single Burrito

Roasted Turkey and Sweet Potato Burrito
Unrolling this burrito felt like taking my lunch out of the office fridge where everyone else has a better-looking lunch than mine and yet someone still took a bite out of my burrito. The tortilla was oozing purple-stained turkey and was so sloppily wrapped (hey, just like homemade) that it really did look like a bite had been taken out of it. Nothing the microwave won’t kill. The turkey was as boring as turkey always is, but the sweet potatoes and cranberry sauce made the whole thing sweet yet bland at the same time. I ate half before I realized how short life was—and tossed the rest.
