When you think of a Vitamix blender, you probably envision the 5200. It’s the classic and the one we use in the BA test kitchen. The most affordable Vitamix on the market, the Vitamix One is the company’s entry-level offering. You can still expect a powerful motor and a two-year warranty, but if you want to make nut butters or grind your own flour, stick with one of the other models. The Ascent series is where Vitamix starts to get techy. The Prime Early Access deals on the Ascent models aren’t quite as impressive as the discount on the Vitamix One, but they’re worth considering if you’re in the market for modern design with high-tech power and precision. The control panel of the A2500 features a 10-speed dial, a pulse switch, a digital timer, and three program settings for smoothies, hot soups, and frozen desserts. It also has wireless connectivity, which allows it to adapt to new Vitamix updates. Though it comes with a 64-oz. container, it can recognize any container size and automatically adjust the blender’s settings.
The Vitamix A3300 is a lot like the A2500 but even more high-tech, with a sleek touchscreen control panel that you can easily wipe clean and a programmable touch timer. Just set the timer to the length of your blend, and the machine will turn itself off once it’s finished.
Meet the most expensive Vitamix blender in existence. The Vitamix A3500 can do everything the A3300 can do with its touchscreen controls and programmable timer. But it also has five built-in settings for smoothies, hot soups, frozen desserts, dips and spreads, and self-cleaning.
