Here’s a Grand Vin Saint-Julien Bordeaux landing at Costco at a fantastic discounted price.
Similar price point to the wonderful Chateau Cantemerle Bordeaux we reviewed earlier this year. And it’s going to pull down a similar 90+ point rating from us as well.

This winery is in a great location in Saint-Julien, right at the intersection of Ducru-Beaucaillou (one of our favorites), Chateau Beychevelle and Langoa Barton. Can’t beat that, combined with the lovely 2019 vintage.
Getting into the wine, it’s drinking great now, but could also sit for a few more years. We typically like these best once they hit the ten year mark.
The wine is a dark purple in the glass; black fruit, spice and subtle oak on the nose; it is medium bodied, elegant in the mouth with integrated tannins; flavors of blackberry, black cherry and plum; earthy and leathery into the long finish. Signature Saint-Julien.

A nice example of the elegance and beauty of Saint-Julien fruit. Online prices for this bottle are in the $40’s, so a steal at this price at Costco if you can find it.
