Akira Yamaoka, long-time composer and sound design director for Silent Hill and a number of other games like The Medium and Lollipop Chainsaw, is embarking on his first ever U.S. tour in February 2026.
Yamaoka will “bring his iconic soundtracks to life in a cinematic live performance experience” in a number of dates across the country. Internationally acclaimed singer, composer, and lyricist Raj Ramayya, who is perhaps best known for his work on Cowboy Bebop and Resident Evil, will be opening for Yamaoka each night of the tour. The pair have collaborated on a new single, Encrypted Code Reality, which is out on the suitably spooky date, 31st October.
The tour kicks off in LA on 19th February and will end in Austin, Texas, in July. Here’s the full list of dates:

Yamaoka joined Konami in 1993 and composed the music for dozens of its games, having worked on every Silent Hill game from the 1999 original up to Silent Hill: Shattered Memories in 2009. He left Konami in the same year to work for Suda51’s Grasshopper Manufacture, but has since returned to compose additional music for Silent Hill 2 Remake and Silent Hill f.
The U.S. tour comes a full decade after Yamaoka toured the UK as part of a Silent Hill Live, performing music from the games with a live band. You can read my thoughts on the surreal experience when I attended two of the five shows way back in 2015.
