Yacht Club Games explained that it won’t be a long delay, but the team isn’t ready to announce a new release date yet.
Mina the Hollower is Yacht Club Games’ latest upcoming game, and one of the most anticipated games remaining to be released in 2025. Unfortunately, the game won’t make its October 31, 2025 release date the way the developers intended. The team is delaying Mina the Hollower to give it little more time for final polish. The devs weren’t prepared to announce a new release date as of this writing.
Yacht Club Games made the announcement of Mina the Hollower’s delay in a statement on the developer’s website. While the team wanted to release the game by October 31, 2025, Halloween, it just wasn’t meant to be. The team also believes that while the delay won’t be long, it’s enough that Yacht Club can’t be certain about a new date right now.
This week, our team made a tough decision: we decided to delay Mina the Hollower. The entire crew has been working tirelessly day and night to finish development for release on Oct 31st, but we’re just not quite there yet.

Mina the Hollower was first announced in 2022 and, following a very successful Kickstarter, got a major push for its development. The game has presented a very unique homage to classic top-down adventures like the Game Boy Color and Game Boy Advance eras of Zelda, and its spooky themes are reminiscent of franchises like Castlevania and Gargoyle’s Quest.
It would have been a fun title to have at Halloween, but most fans likely agree that if Yacht Club needs the time, it can only make what looks like a good thing even better. As we await a new release date, stay tuned to the Mina the Hollower topic for updates. There’s still a free demo to check out while we wait.
