Now that the LPL 2023 Spring regular split has come to an end, here is everything you need to know ahead of playoffs.

LPL 2023 Spring Playoffs – Teams and Schedule
Below are the ten teams that have qualified for the Spring Playoffs (ordered by seeding):
- #1 – JD Gaming
- #2 – EDward Gaming
- #3 – LNG Esports
- #4 – Weibo Gaming (TBD)
- #5 – BiliBili Gaming (TBD)
- #6 – Oh my God
- #7 – Top Esports
- #8 – ThunderTalk Gaming
- #9 – Royal Never Give UP
- #10 – Team WE
Despite having a weird moment mid-split, superteam JD Gaming managed to clinch first place thanks to their head-to-head with EDG and over LNG Esports. All three teams have ended the split 13-3, creating a small gap with the rest of the 10 teams.
These three teams are also looking like favorites, each having its own strengths. JDG is the most balanced with world-class players across the board.
EDG has the rising superstar ADC Leave, which did a great job replacing Viper. LNG Esports, instead, have Scout on exceptional form, who scored a total of 17 MVPs during the split, 5 more than the second-best player (EDG’s Jiejie).
That said, there are a couple of teams that have the potential to make upsets happen. BLG, WBG, OMG, and TES showed good promises, even though they weren’t as consistent. TT, RNG, and Team WE, instead, might struggle a lot more with the Bo5 format.

The playoff bracket
Below you can find the entire schedule of the LPL Spring Playoffs, which starts on Mar. 30th. LPL’s playoff bracket is different from the others since there are two King of the Hill single elimination bracket for the lower 8 seeds, while JDG and EDG (#1 and #2) will wait for the winners directly in Phase 2.

It’s a great advantage for the two teams since Phase 2 has a double elimination bracket for the top four teams. That said, the LPL proved over the last few years that teams lower-seeded teams manage to upset better teams after having played multiple Bo5s: they came into those series better prepared, so don’t discount lower-seeded teams that go through.
With the latest Mid-Season Invitational format change, the top two teams from playoffs will qualify for the international tournament. The first team goes directly to the main event, while the runner-up will have to go through play-ins. Below is the full playoff schedule:
Phase 1 – King of the Hill elimination bracket
- Thursday, Mar. 30th – Round 1 (1st match)
- Friday, Mar. 31st – Round 1 (2nd match)
- Saturday, Apr. 1st – Round 2 (1st match)
- Sunday, Apr. 2nd – Round 2 (2nd match)
- Monday, Apr. 3rd – Round 3 (1st match)
- Tuesday, Apr. 4th – Round 3 (2nd match)
Phase 2 – Double elimination bracket to finals
- Wednesday, Apr. 5th – Round 4 (1st match)
- Thursday, Apr. 6th – Round 4 (2nd match)
- Wednesday, Apr. 5th – Round 4 (1st match)
- Saturday, Apr. 8th – Round 4 (losers’ bracket)
- Sunday, Apr. 9th – Semifinals (winners’ bracket)
- Tuesday, Apr. 11th – Semifinals (losers’ bracket)
- Saturday, Apr. 15th – Grand final
According to the King of the Hill format, seeds #4,#5#8, and #9 will be in one bracket, with #3,#,6,#7, and #10 in the other. All matches are Bo5s.
