Stellantis (NYSE:STLA) gave a first look at the Ram 1500 Revolution BEV Concept at the Las Vegas CES event this week. The potential future competitor to the Ford (F) F-150 Lightning, Rivian Automotive (RIVN) R1T, Chevy (GM) Silverado EV, and Tesla (TSLA) Cybertruck is expected to arrive in 2024.
The Ram EV concept features a sleek look, with a stretched wheelbase and a swept-back windshield, according to Car and Driver. Electric motors on the front and rear axles of the Revolution are expected to provide all-wheel drive. Ram also tipped off that the steering wheel can retract into the dashboard for Level 3 autonomous driving. In a nod to versatility, the Revolution also has third row seats that fold out from the back wall. Performance statistics are not available yet on the all-electric model, but Ram says that up to 100 miles of range can be added in around 10 minutes with 800-volt DC fast charging at up to 350 kW.
At CES, Stellantis (STLA) confirmed that the production version of the Ram electric truck would be unveiled in the coming months.
Sector watch: Tesla falls again but still has a higher market cap than Toyota, GM, and Ford combined.
