The ninth edition of the Punto y Raya Festival is coming to Sofia, Bulgaria, with five days of pure form, colour, movement and sound. The leading event in Abstract Art in Motion will take place from 3 to 7 December 2025 at NATFA National Academy of Theatre and Film Arts and Dom Na Kinoto / Cinema House. As always, we will celebrate the most outstanding achievements of recent years, revisit great classics, delve into the creative process of key artists, and offer our traditional meeting points for creators and lovers of the genre.
ACTIVITIES SCHEDULE
Immerse yourself in the work and creative process of renowned artists with our Masterclasses and Retrospectives: Paul Fletcher (AU), Mario Radev (BG/UK), Max Hattler (DE/HK), Sune Petersen (DK), Toni Mitjanit (ES) and Myriam Boucher (CA).
Myriam Boucher (CA) will create immersive worlds that bridge the tangible and the ethereal in Memories. Meanwhile, Mario Radev (BG/UK) will captivate us with his live drawings in Entelequia: A Life in Loops. And Pattern/Sound – Deuterium AV by Max Hattler (DE/HK) and Sune Petersen (DK) will mesmerise us with its hypnotic interplay of light, movement and sound.
The ninth edition of the ‘world’s most abstract’ festival is a co-production between MAD (ES, creators of Punto y Raya), NATFA National Academy of Theatre and Film Arts (BG) and WFAF Festival (BG), with financial support from the OSIC Programme – Generalitat de Catalunya (ES), City University (HK), Australian Government (AU), Université de Montréal (CA) and Pannónia (HU).
We look forward to seeing you in Sofia and experiencing the expressiveness and transformative power of this unique art form in person.
Warm regards from the whole team!
