Party like it’s 1999 & go to the movies for only $4 this weekend!
Sunday, August 27th is National Cinema Day and many movie theaters across the US & Canada will be celebrating by offering movie tickets for only $4! 😮
Theaters like Cinemark, Regal, AMC Theaters, Alamo Drafthouse, Harkins Theaters, NCG Cinema and Marcus Theaters will ALL be participating! You’ll be able to score $4 tickets for any movie, in any format, all day long!
Even sweeter, some theaters are offering special deals on popcorn, drinks, and snacks on August 27th too – so don’t skip stopping by the concession stand!
Hip Tip: We suggest buying your tickets in advance through your local theater’s website or app or Fandango.com as many theaters were already sold out or only had front-row seats left on the day of the event last year.
If you don’t see your local theater listed above, give them a call or check their website, as many local, non-chain theaters are also participating. You can also check Fandango.com and score $4 tickets at participating theaters through their site!
There are a ton of great movies to choose from including the new Blue Beetle from DC Comics, Strays with Jamie Fox & Will Ferrell, Barbie, Oppenheimer, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, and Grand Turismo!
We also noticed a few theaters are showing older movies like Jurassic Park (30th Anniversary) and American Graffiti (50th Anniversary)! Plus, The Little Mermaid, Spider-Man Across the Spiderverse, Super Mario Brothers, Haunted Mansion, and Indiana Jones and The Dial of Destiny are still playing in select locations!
With ticket prices averaging $10-$14 these days, you won’t want to miss the once-a-year event! This is the perfect time to take the family out for a fun movie night, have a cheap date night, or enjoy a girls’ night out!
