Save Up to $90 on Mint Mobile Annual Plans
When you join Mint Mobile as a new customer, you can use the promo code YEAROFMINT to get 30% off eligible annual plans for a limited time. This deal excludes Mint Mobile’s annual unlimited plan, but all other plans are eligible.
With the promo code, here’s what you’ll pay for each eligible plan:
| Discounted Rate (30%) | Regular Rate | Total Savings: | |
|---|---|---|---|
| 5GB | $126 ($10.50/month) | $180 ($15/month) | $54 |
| 15GB | $168 ($14/month) | $240 ($20/month) | $72 |
| 20GB | $210 ($17.50/month) | $300 ($25/month) | $90 |
All Mint Mobile plans include unlimited talk, text and access to high-speed data. Once you’ve used your set amount of high-speed data, speeds will be reduced until the following month. Additionally, your high-speed data can be shared via mobile hotspot.
Note that the plan prices above do not include taxes and fees. After your first year of service, you can renew your plan at its regular rate.
Mint Mobile is a prepaid service provider, and you can cancel your service at any time.
Mint Mobile: An Affordable Prepaid Service Provider on T-Mobile’s Network
If you aren’t familiar with Mint Mobile, it’s a prepaid cell phone service provider that T-Mobile owns. It provides access to the same 5G and 4G/LTE networks for a fraction of the price. If you have service in your area from T-Mobile, you’ll likely also have coverage with Mint Mobile.
When you purchase a plan from Mint Mobile, you’ll have to pay for at least three months of service in advance. That brings the plan prices (at regular rates) to $75-$120 upfront ($25-$40/month), and you’ll be covered for 90 days from activation. Additionally, you can prepay for six months or a year in advance to get better overall prices.
Compared to T-Mobile itself, Mint Mobile offers excellent prices. T-Mobile’s postpaid plans start at $50/month for one line with autopay. While you’ll get more high-speed data and additional postpaid benefits with T-Mobile postpaid, you’ll find plans starting as low as $15/month from Mint Mobile. New customers taking advantage of the current promotion can get the same plan for as low as $10.50/month when prepaid annually.
Compared to other prepaid service providers that utilize T-Mobile’s service towers, Mint Mobile’s prices are still competitive. This is especially true with Mint Mobile’s current new customer offer. 5GB for $10.50/month, 15GB for $14/month or 20GB for $17.50/month are excellent prices for limited-data phone plans. Even after the promotion expires, Mint Mobile’s regular rates for the same annual plans work out to be $15/month, $20/month and $25/month, respectively.
Here are a few annual limited-data plans from other affordable providers on T-Mobile’s network to compare:
- US Mobile (Review): Annual plans begin at $210 ($17.50/month) for 10GB of high-speed data plus 5GB of mobile hotspot data. Choose the “Light Speed” network to access T-Mobile’s service towers.
- Ultra Mobile (Review): For a limited time, new customers can save 50% on select annual plans, including 8GB for $102 ($8.50/month), 12GB for $120 ($10/month) and 24GB for $162 ($13.50/month). After the first year, plan rates will return to regular rates.
- RedPocket Mobile (Review): Annual plans begin at $110 ($9.17/month) for 1GB of high-speed data per month. For $220 ($18.33/month), you can get 10GB of high-speed data per month. New customers are eligible for $10-$20 off the first year of service, depending on the plan you choose.
