Epic Games Store’s daily giveaways continue through the rest of the year
The Epic Games Store’s latest free mystery game has been revealed. Until 11 a.m. EST on Jan. 1, Chivalry 2 will be available to claim for free from the Epic Games Store.
Chivalry 2 is a different type of FPS — “first-person stabber.” (I shan’t apologize.) With matches featuring up to 64 people, players take up the mantle as medieval-era foot soldiers and engage in large-scale battles rooted in just the right amount of realism. It’s chaos in the best way. Watch out for the fire arrows!
Typically, we know what game Epic is giving away a week in advance. However, during the holiday season, Epic literally wraps the game in mystery; the thumbnails on the Epic Games Store just show an image of a wrapped holiday present (complete with a bow on top). In 2024, the Epic Games Store gave away more than a dozen games in the two weeks leading into the new year, many of which were terrific, including Dredge, Control, and Sifu.
If you want to pick up the free game from Epic, all you need to do is log in to the Epic Games Store and claim it. The free mystery games are free for 24 hours, and reset each day at 11 a.m. EST, when the next mystery game will be revealed. We’ll be updating this story regularly as new games cycle in and out of availability.
