This month only, new customers can switch to Tracfone (Team Clark’s Review) and get a six-month unlimited plan for the price of three months. That brings the upfront cost to $135, which is only $22.50/month!
In this article, I’ll share everything you need to know about Tracfone’s latest deal. I’ll include what you’ll get for the price as well as how Tracfone’s new unlimited plan compares to other affordable cell phone service providers.
Save $120 on Tracfone Unlimited Your First Six Months
Earlier this year, Tracfone introduced its first unlimited data plan: Tracfone Freedom. At regular rates, Tracfone Freedom costs $50/month. Multi-month plans bring the monthly price down to $40/month when prepaid annually. However, for a limited time, new customers can switch to Tracfone and get the same plan for $22.50/month for the first six months.
Here’s what you’ll get with the Tracfone Freedom plan:
- Unlimited talk, text and data
- Access to Verizon’s 5G and 4G LTE networks
- Typical download speeds: 35-143 Mbps (5G); 11-75 Mbps (4G LTE
- 15GB mobile hotspot
- International talk, text and roaming in Canada and Mexico
- Identity Protection by IDnotifiy
To get this deal, join Tracfone by December 31 and choose the six-month Tracfone Freedom plan. You’ll also need to bring your own compatible phone to be eligible. Be sure to check your phone’s compatibility on Tracfone’s website before switching.

Tracfone Freedom: An Affordable Unlimited Plan on Verizon’s 5G Network
If you aren’t familiar with Tracfone, it’s a prepaid mobile virtual network operator (MVNO) that provides access to Verizon Wireless’ service towers.
Compared to unlimited postpaid plans from Verizon, you’ll find excellent prices at Tracfone. Verizon’s Unlimited Welcome plan costs $65/month for one line ($15 more expensive than Tracfone Freedom’s monthly plan), and it doesn’t include any mobile hotspot data.
At regular rates, you’ll find lower prices on monthly unlimited phone plans from other affordable MVNOs. However, Tracfone’s current discount on its six-month unlimited plan makes the pricing much more competitive ($22.50/month). To compare, I took a closer look at a few of our favorite unlimited data plans on Verizon’s 5G network:
- Visible (Review): The basic unlimited plan costs $25/month at regular rates, including taxes and fees. The plan includes unlimited talk, text and 5G data as well as unlimited mobile hotspot (5Mbps) and talk/text from the US to Canada and Mexico. Now through January 5, new customers can get the same plan for $19/month with promo code SWITCH26. Annually, the same plan costs $275 ($22.92/month).
- US Mobile (Review): Unlimited Starter costs $25/month for 70GB of premium data on the Warp network, which utilizes Verizon Wireless’s service towers. It also includes 10GB of mobile hotspot data and international texts from the US. Annually, the same plan costs $270 ($22.50/month) at regular rates.
- Total Wireless (Review): Total Base 5G Unlimited is available for $40/month for one line. It includes unlimited data on Verizon’s 5G network and 5GB of mobile hotspot. It also includes calling to 85+ countries, texting to 200+ countries, and 10GB of roaming data in Canada and Mexico. Multiline discounts bring the same plan to $25/month for four lines.
