Punto y Raya Junior, the world benchmark for Abstract Art in Motion produced BY CHILDREN and youngesters is back in Wroclaw, with free admission!.
The event will be held June 14-18th 2023 at CNP Centrum na Przedmieściu, with complementary activities outdoors and at Instytut im. Jerzego Grotowskiego, Institute of Immunology and Experimental Therapy PAN, Pracownia Małych Instrumentów, and Przejście Dialogu in Wroclaw, Poland.
With over 15 years spearheading the genre, Punto y Raya continues recapturing the spirit of Cinéma Pure and Absolute Film formulated by the European avant-garde in the 1920s, consolidating this unique art form at the intersection of Fine Arts and Media.
70 films from 13 countries were submitted to the fourth JUNIOR International Call for Entries, exploring the beauty and creative possibilities of Form, Colour, Motion and Sound in their purest state. No representation: only Dots & Lines! Most of them were created during workshops held at collaborating institutions in over 20 cities. The works were screened in the Junior International Showcase section, complemented with presentations and playful activities.

Other activities included children’s workshops for abstract art creation in multiple formats, live audiovisual concerts coordinated by local and international artists, an exhibition of posters and graphic art created by school children all over Wroclaw, videogames and interactive installations, and parallel screenings for family audiences.
The fifth Punto y Raya JUNIOR festival was a coproduction of PyRLAB (Wroclaw) and MAD (Barcelona), seeking to consolidate their exchange of artists and actions, and the deployment of a permanent educational programme in both countries.
